Andrew Wilder, Principal Lighting Designer
Andrew is a proud Los Angeles native—they DO exist! He has had the good fortune of incorporating his work with a few of his favorite things, including design, photography, travel, and 24-hour all-you-can-eat buffets.
In his methodical attempt to master the elements, Andrew set out to tame the Windy City. He began his formal career at the prestigious National High School Institute at Northwestern University. He served as the Associate Director of the Design/Tech Concentration and conquered color (the seldom discussed fifth element) while designing Polaroid Stories. Breezing from one stage to the next, he also flipped the switches as Evanston Dance Ensemble's resident designer.
Moving from the wind to the water, Andrew was a regular on the cruise ship circuit (think Gofer with cooler gear). He took one for the Luxious team and cruised the world designing numerous shows onboard virtually every ship in the Princess Cruises fleet. This is why he now insists we call him Prince Andrew.
Andrew has shifted focus from the bright lights to big business, spearheading project management and business development for Luxious. Working to further expand the company’s breadth, he pursues new opportunities, introducing Luxious to new audiences, industries, and environments. Considering himself somewhat of a mastermind, Andrew regularly retreats to his lab, white coat and all, where he tirelessly toils away, developing products for the lighting design industry.
Andrew graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern University (yeah, he’s smart), is an Eagle Scout (yeah, he’s honest), and makes a mean basil mojito (yeah, he’s fun at parties).
